Participants check themselves into a session with one tap on their own phone — no scanning, no station, no paper list. As they do, your roster updates in real time, so the picture in front of you reflects who’s actually arrived, not just who registered weeks ago.
This changes what running a session’s start actually looks like. Instead of standing at a door working down a printed list while people are still finding their seats, you glance at a roster that’s already filling in on its own. Anyone marked absent by the time you’re ready to start is genuinely absent — not just someone you haven’t gotten to yet.
If you do need to make a manual adjustment — someone forgot their phone, a mistaken mark needs correcting — you can still mark attendance directly, with haptic confirmation on each tap and a long-press to reset an error.
The combination means attendance data is more accurate, and your attention during the first few minutes of a session is on the room, not on a clipboard.
