This policy sets out the rules for cancellations and refunds for workshop enrollments and Wayfield platform subscriptions. Please read it carefully before purchasing.
Wayfield is a platform that connects workshop organizers with participants. When you enroll in a workshop through Wayfield, your booking contract is with the organizer running that workshop — not with Wayfield directly. Wayfield acts as the payment processor and platform provider.
Organizers may set their own cancellation and refund terms within the parameters Wayfield establishes in this policy. Where an organizer’s stated policy is more generous than the default rules below, the organizer’s policy applies. Where the organizer’s policy is more restrictive, the default Wayfield minimums in this document take precedence to protect participants.
This policy also covers Wayfield’s own subscription refund rules, which apply to your organizer account subscription independently of any workshop refunds.
If you are a participant wishing to cancel your workshop enrollment, the following default refund schedule applies based on how far in advance of the workshop start time you cancel:
If you cancel your enrollment more than 14 days before the workshop start date and time, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount you paid, including any booking fees charged by Wayfield. Refunds are processed to your original payment method.
If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before the workshop start, you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount you paid. The remaining 50% is retained by the organizer to cover preparation costs and commitments already made for your attendance.
Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the workshop start date are not eligible for a refund under the default policy. However, the organizer may choose to approve a full or partial refund at their sole discretion. To request an exception, contact the organizer directly through the Wayfield platform before your cancellation.
If the organizer cancels the workshop for any reason, all enrolled participants are automatically entitled to a full refund regardless of when the cancellation occurs. See Section 3 for details.
If an organizer cancels a workshop that has enrolled participants, Wayfield will automatically initiate full refunds to all enrolled participants. The refund covers the total amount paid by each participant, including any fees.
When a workshop is cancelled by the organizer, Wayfield will:
Organizers are strongly encouraged to give participants as much notice as possible before cancelling a workshop. Repeated workshop cancellations may result in account review.
Wayfield’s Creator subscription refund policy is as follows:
Monthly subscription payments are non-refundable once the billing date has passed. If you cancel a monthly subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period but no refund is issued for that period.
Annual subscription payments are eligible for a prorated refund if you cancel within the first 14 days of the annual billing period. The prorated amount is calculated based on the number of full months remaining in the annual term. After the 14-day window, no refund is available for the remaining unused portion of an annual subscription.
To request a refund on an annual subscription within the 14-day window, contact billing@wayfieldapp.com with your account details and reason for cancellation.
Wayfield’s platform fees on workshop transactions are non-refundable in ordinary circumstances. This reflects the cost of payment processing, platform operation, and participant support services already rendered.
Exceptions — where Wayfield will refund the platform fee — are limited to:
To request a platform fee refund on the basis of a technical fault, contact support@wayfieldapp.com with details of the issue and your booking reference.
If you have a dispute about a refund or cancellation — whether you are a participant or an organizer — please contact Wayfield support first:
Wayfield commits to responding to refund disputes within 7 business days. We will review the circumstances and work with you and the organizer to reach a fair resolution.
If the dispute cannot be resolved directly with Wayfield, you may raise a payment dispute through Stripe by contacting your card issuer. Please be aware that initiating a chargeback before contacting Wayfield support may slow down the resolution process.
Once a refund is approved and initiated by Wayfield via Stripe, the time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer. Typical processing times are:
Wayfield will send you an email confirmation when a refund is initiated. If you have not received the funds after 14 business days from the confirmation email, please contact your bank before reaching out to us, as the funds may be pending on their end.
