Please read these terms carefully before using Wayfield. They form a binding legal agreement between you and Wayfield, Inc.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Wayfield, Inc. (“Wayfield”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company incorporated in Minnesota, United States. By accessing or using the Wayfield platform — including our website, mobile application, and associated services — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using Wayfield on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” refers to both you personally and that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Wayfield platform.
Wayfield is a multi-tenant SaaS platform for creative education workshop management. The platform enables three distinct roles:
Wayfield provides the technology infrastructure for these interactions but is not itself an organizer, leader, or educational institution. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any workshop or session facilitated through the platform.
To use most features of Wayfield, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
You may only maintain one active account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans is prohibited. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on Wayfield.
Organizers have additional rights and responsibilities on the platform. By creating workshops and sessions on Wayfield, organizers agree that:
All workshop descriptions, pricing, schedules, location details, instructor qualifications, and any other participant-facing information must be accurate and not misleading. Organizers must promptly update listings if circumstances change.
Organizers are solely responsible for ensuring their workshops comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and consumer protection laws in the jurisdictions where they operate.
Organizers retain ownership of all content they submit to Wayfield (descriptions, images, materials). By submitting content, you grant Wayfield a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
All payment processing on Wayfield is handled by Stripe, Inc. By making or receiving payments through the platform, you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms of service.
Wayfield charges organizers a platform fee on each transaction processed through the platform. Current fee rates are disclosed at the time of account setup and may be updated with advance notice. Participants will never be shown platform fee rates or organizer payout amounts.
Organizer payouts are processed according to the payout schedule configured in your Stripe Connect account, subject to Stripe’s standard settlement timelines. Wayfield is not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or Stripe processing times.
You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your use of the platform or income received through it. Wayfield may be required to collect and remit taxes in certain jurisdictions and will communicate any such obligations to affected users.
When you enroll in a workshop session, you enter into a booking agreement with the organizer of that workshop. Wayfield facilitates that transaction but is not a party to the agreement. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated by the organizer.
Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual organizers and displayed before you complete your booking. Wayfield will process refunds in accordance with the organizer’s stated policy. In cases of organizer-initiated cancellation, participants are entitled to a full refund of amounts paid.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward organizers, leaders, and other participants, both on the platform and at in-person sessions. Disruptive, abusive, or threatening behavior may result in account suspension or removal from sessions without refund.
The Wayfield platform, including its software, design, logos, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by or licensed to Wayfield, Inc. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the platform or its content without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of content you submit to Wayfield. By submitting content, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights.
You agree not to:
The Wayfield platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
Wayfield does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the content, quality, safety, or legality of any workshop or session listed on the platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wayfield, Inc.’s total liability for any claims arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Wayfield in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD. In no event shall Wayfield be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
Wayfield may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the platform. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable, except in cases of serious or repeated violations. Where appropriate, we may refer matters to law enforcement authorities.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Minnesota, United States. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Minnesota, United States.
