Verified nonprofit organizations can add a donation option at checkout, letting a participant contribute alongside their workshop registration. Wayfield takes no platform fee on the donation portion specifically — the donation passes through in full to your account.
Your workshop registration fee is separate and unaffected by nonprofit status — it follows your organization’s regular plan rate (Foundation, Creator, or Studio), the same as any other organization. The 0% treatment applies to the donation amount only, not to what participants pay to register.
Receipts are generated automatically and correctly separate the workshop fee (not a charitable deduction) from the donation amount (potentially one), so the tax treatment is right without anyone doing that math by hand. Nonprofit status is reviewed and approved through the platform admin before the donation widget activates.
